Sandra McCann

As a sculpture artist, Sandra finds herself drawn to social commentary. It isn’t something she necessarily sets out to do when she starts a new piece, it develops as she goes. Sandra has occasionally worked in multimedia which is showcased by her Senior Exhibition Portfolio from her undergrad at Washburn University, Topeka. 

Of recent years she has been focused on clay as her primary medium of creative expression. She strives to develop not only the sculptural aspect or the will, but also balancing it with the thinking and feeling aspects, drawing and painting respectively. This is illustrated in both her sculpture, pottery and jewelry work.
