Call to Artists: Video Game Art

Narrative, character development, choreography, illustration, set design, music, and cinematography all play a role in the creation of a video game. So is a video game art or entertainment? Can it be both?
Whether you’re a fan of old school pixels or emerging tech, the Video Game Art show is the perfect place to showcase your love for virtual worlds. Show us your elevated fan art or showcase a video game of your own design. If you have a playable game, we would love to allow people to try it out. Please use the application to submit screenshots from the game. We are looking for any medium, but submissions must be fine art. In the interest of being open to new media, we ask you to define “fine art” at your own discretion.
-All 2-D and 3-D works must be ready to hang, No sawtooth hangers; artworks must have wire installed to hang.
-All artwork must be for sale.
-Accepted artwork that differs significantly from image in online submission will be disqualified.
-No accepted entry may be withdrawn or sold outside of the exhibition prior to the closing date.
-Size limitations: No wider than 24” wide, height can be up to 8’ high.
-Exhibition dates: October 2-November 14, 2020
-Deadline to enter: August 21, 2020
-Artist Notification: August 28, 2020
-Shipping deadline of work to Blue Line Arts: September 13, 2020
-Hand deliver work to Blue Line Arts: September 27 or 28
-Opening Reception: October 17
-Pick up unsold work from Blue Line Arts: November 15 or 16, 10 am – 3 pm
