To keep our community safe and healthy, Verge is excited to announce that this year’s in-person Sac Open Studios tour will be replaced by a dynamic, artist-driven virtual experience! Verge’s mission – to extend the dialogue about contemporary art to the Central Valley and provide vital resources to local artists – will guide our programming decisions, and the Sac Open Studios Committee is focused on developing effective ways to serve artists, advertisers, sponsors, community partners, and tour-goers during these uncertain times.
In addition to providing a framework for participating artists to present their work virtually, we are launching new resources to support artists including an online Sac Open Studios artist directory and as always, we will print and distribute the Sac Open Studios Guide. Also, due to this year’s virtual format, you don’t need an artist studio to participate!
Verge is inspired by the challenge and committed to celebrating artists and makers across the Sacramento region this September.
Verge also invites you to join them on Zoom Friday, June 12 from 4:30pm to learn more about the virtual Sac Open Studios tour. Verge staff will share a presentation about transitioning to a virtual format this year, followed by a Q&A. RSVP for the webinar here.
