ABSTRACTISM: ACAI Gallery and Studios August Show

Take a journey into the creative minds of the abstract artists; they draw away from the details of the world allowing artists interior thoughts to come out and interplay with the world through what is inside them.

Artist statements:
-Gloria Woolley: I consider myself an abstract artist inspired by the earth, sea, and sky. I work in all media. I love this quote by Ralph Stella- “I don’t like to say I have given my life to art. I prefer to say art has given me my life.”
-Pam Avery: I am inspired by the colors in nature, such as the sky before rainfall or a sunset. Abstract painting allows me to interpret my world both interior and exterior through color, texture, and shapes.
-Carlaina Brown: My work is about communicating the sensations and emotions that visual elements can evoke by combining them in these small universes called paintings.
-Mathew Glaisyer: The pieces I have created show the ‘raw’ aesthetic. These pieces also stem from within my inner-conscious and surface treatments thus making them more dramatic.
