Sketch Films: Red Thread, is a new documentary dance film project with world premieres by four choreographers.
Featuring world premieres by Sketch alumni including: Artistic Director Amy Seiwert, Artistic Fellow Ben Needham-Wood, Chicago based choreographer Stephanie Martinez, and NYC-based choreographer Jennifer Archibald. Sketch Films: Red Thread, is a new documentary dance film project with world premieres by four choreographers.
Featuring world premieres by Sketch alumni including: Artistic Director Amy Seiwert, Artistic Fellow Ben Needham-Wood, Chicago based choreographer Stephanie Martinez, and NYC-based choreographer Jennifer Archibald. Both Martinez and Archibald are winners of the Joffrey Ballet’s “Winning Works: Choreographers of Color” commissions.
The first film to be screened is Crack the Dark, by Artistic Director Amy Seiwert, in collaboration with Academy Award-nominated documentary filmmakers Kristine Samuelson and John Haptas, and inspired by Sacramento-based Chef Patrick Mulvaney. The evening will include an exclusive conversation with the artists. Following the premiere of the dance film is an interactive Q&A.
