Art on Film: Miss Hokusai

Join the Crocker for an in-person screening of the lauded 2016 film Miss Hokusai, which aligns with the exhibitions Monet to Matisse: Masterworks of French Impressionism from the Dixon Gallery and Gardens and Hands and Earth: Contemporary Japanese Ceramics.

Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai is widely considered one of the celebrated masters of art, and is particularly well-known for his world famous "The Great Wave." Hokusai's work deeply influenced Degas, Monet, and other Impressionists
