Artist Talk with Gioia Fonda

Articulator teams up with the Kimpton Sawyer hotel for the kick-off to the quarterly artist talk series set in the heart of the DOCO district. Learn about the creative process and how Gioia finds motivation for her work in castoffs, residue, and refuse.

Gioia Fonda is an interdisciplinary artist working primarily in two-dimensional media (painting, drawing, sewing, and photography) with occasional forays into sculpture, performance, and new media. A resident member of Verge Center for the arts, she is a dedicated member of the Sacramento art community, contributing as an artist, curator, jurist, and collaborator. She is a tenured professor and chair of the Art Department at Sacramento City College.
