Easy Ballroom Dancing (Cancelled)

NOTE: The Crocker Art Museum is temporarily closed to the public, and all programs, tours, classes, and events through April 30 have been postponed or cancelled.

Find out what it is like to waltz around the Crocker’s grand ballroom. Come solo, grab a partner or coax a friend. Dance lessons are designed for those going solo or in a group, and are made with a beginner in mind, but anyone is welcome to join this wonderful opportunity to exercise and meet new people. Participants are encourage to wear comfortable, flexible shoes.

Instructor Randy Solorio is a local from Sacramento. He is the Head Coach for the Women’s gymnastics team at Sacramento State and also teaches ballroom dance in the kinesiology department. Randy was introduced to ballroom dance at an early age by his parents, Rudy and Maria Solorio, who met while teaching at Arthur Murrays in the late 40’s in downtown Sacramento. He is very excited and privileged to have the opportunity to teach dance in the “Grand Ballroom” at the Crocker Art Museum.
