Global Cities Laser Run Davis

The Berry Athletic Foundation and Davis Pentathlon are working with Team USA Pentathlon and the UIPM (Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne) to bring the Global Laser Run City Tour to Davis. The Global Laser Run City Tours are organized to introduce people to the new sport of Laser Run, promote the Olympic sport of Modern Pentathlon and promote physical activity for people of all ages. Laser Run combines running and laser pistol marksmanship in fast-paced and dynamic races. The Open category has four rounds of attempting to hit a laser pistol target five times at 10 meters and running 800 meters. Youth and Masters age brackets have adjusted ranges and distances.

Competition entry includes a certificate of completion, medals, and a running clinic with Olympian Dan Browne (’04, 10K). While the top performers in each age group will receive an invitation to the World Championships in Hungary, this event is primarily a family friendly, fun-run for all ages and abilities to introduce people to the sports of laser run and modern pentathlon.
