Healing the Homies

Healing the Homies was born from the understanding that in order to sustain the communities we are building, we must look at wellness from the lens of community where those who are on the frontlines of supporting, creating and mobilizing the community through activism, healing, education, organizing and arts also need to be looked after and cared for deeply. We often forget to prioritize our own self care and well-being because of the heavy demand on our time, energy and gifts which leads to burn out, mental, physical and spiritual ailments. This workshop gives you daily tools using your breath, body. food and herbs to prevent and reduce stress, anxiety and burnout. When we support ourselves and our homies in their healing, our communities have a much better chance of flourishing long term.

Navdeep (Navi) Gill is an Ayurvedic practitioner, therapist and holistic wellness educator specializing in lifestyle consulting, Marma Chikitsa therapy and foundational Panchakarma bodywork. Her work focuses on reclaiming and connecting BIPOC to ancestral wisdom and ritual as self care and to gain autonomy over their own wellbeing. She travels globally to educate and work with clients to help them understand and experience the principles of Ayurveda, how it applies to their daily life and how to create a lifestyle that encompasses the authentic teachings of Ayurveda in order to achieve mind, body, spirit health & harmony
