International Sun Day

In honor of International Sun Day, Powerhouse Science Center invites the Sacramento Valley Astronomical Society who will be on-site with their solar telescopes. These hydrogen alpha scopes allow you to see the sun directly, showing spots and prominences. After you view the sun stick around to make a UV Bead bracelet that changes colors with when exposed to the invisible UV rays from the sun.
