Junior Roller Derby 101

Join Sacramento Roller Derby for their fall Junior Roller Derby 101 eight-week session and see what roller derby is all about! This course is fun and safe for beginners and is open to kids of all genders, Ages 8-17. The classes focus on teaching new skaters the basics of roller derby and roller skating which include safety, stops, skating form, endurance, and rules.

Note: New skaters can join the first three weeks of the session. Please arrive at least 15 min early to gear up and sign paperwork. It is strongly recommended that your skater knows how to stand and roll in skates. Skaters are encouraged to bring any gear they have (helmet, knee pads, wrist guards, elbow pads, and skates), but there is plenty of loaner gear available as well. Don’t forget to bring your own mouth-guard and water!
