Kingsley Art Club Lecture Series: Jason A. Silva, Dreyfuss and Blackford Architecture

Jason Silva is not only an architect, but also the Chair of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission. In that role, he thinks a lot about the future of the visual and performing arts. He feels that in a world of accelerating impermanence, everyone now communicates in bursts and generates ephemeral phenomena. To keep pace with this evolution, the experimentation with temporary pavilions challenges artists to envision and fabricate new ideas and then get the word to visitors so that they can engage in the new work before it’s gone.
