David Kalb: Portraits at The Paint Chip

Shooting photography on the street for the past ten years has been like a people safari. As David Kalb roams the streets of a city, camera at the ready, he keeps his eyes open for humorous situations, intriguing expressions, ironic moments, and touching interactions.

With travel limitations these past few years, he’s expanded his focus to include portraiture. Kalb’s aim is to capture the beauty of the model by using creative lighting, interesting backdrops, and evocative poses. While Kalb has had four street photography exhibits, he’s looking forward to his initial portrait photography show, scheduled at The Paint Chip in Davis, as part of Photography Month Sacramento in April 2022.
