Salsa Saturday Dance Party

Rene Escovedo will be bringing his eight-piece band, La Vida Son Sabroso to Powerhouse Pub in Folsom’s Historic District for an afternoon salsa dance party!

René Escovedo is a percussionist and band leader based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Born to the famed Escovedo Latin music family, which includes Sheila E, Pete Escovedo, Peter Michael Escovedo, Allesandro and Coke, to name a few, Rene is a dynamic and exciting performer who surrounds himself with the best musicians in the Bay Area.

When not touring as percussionist for legendary Soul/R’n’B band, ConFunkShun, Rene leads his own bands and plays before sold-out crowds all over California. His La Vida Son Sabrosa is an exciting group that gets the crowd on the dance floor.

Not a great salsa dancer? That’s okay, this event will feature free salsa dance lessons from Arthur Murray Dance School before the show, or just hang out and take in the great music. Stick around after the show,  with DJ Night Train and Thunder Cover.
