Running groups from the Sacramento region have collaborated to launch the second annual Sac Running Week, a week-long event to highlight the city’s thriving running scene. Local running organizations will spread the word about the community throughout the week and encourage everyone to check out one or more of the city’s free meetups and register for the Buffalo Stampede 10 and 4-mile run/walk. The week-long running event is based around Sacramento’s official Running Day and will have an evening celebration at Bike Dog Brewing Company with REI.
On any given day, Sacramento groups will get together to be active while supporting runners of all ages, genders, ethnic backgrounds, and fitness levels. Whether someone is a devoted trail runner or an occasional jogger, an early bird or a night owl, if they’re looking for friends or just looking for tips on how to improve their solo training sessions, there is an opportunity for everyone. Sac Running Week celebrates the sport’s presence in the city and welcomes new and experienced runners alike to join the flourishing community.
Check out the long list of local running events and meet-ups. Show up at any Sac running week event! (RSVP or Register to events that are noted on the list beforehand. This only includes Buffalo Stamped, Team Ride, Pond Park Preview, and REI Night)
