Barbara Kempe has said, “My painting has always been devoted to the challenge of transparent watercolor. I love exploring the diverse properties of this elusive medium, and I look forward to the beginning of each new painting as beginning a new adventure.”
Dave Hodapp is an artisan, a craftsman in clay. He has always enjoyed working with his hands. The sensuality of wheel throwing is what originally drew him in, while the endless possibilities of shape, texture, and color have kept him fascinated.
Steve Walters has said, “Interpreting and communicating my feelings and ideas of the world around me through painting and visual means has been a lifelong pursuit. Expressing mood and emotion and conveying a strong sense of light and atmosphere while portraying nature in a spirited manner are my true subjects and inspiration. Combining this with an inventive approach, the ordinary can be made compelling, with subject matter merely a vehicle.”
