Directed by John Huston in 1950 and based on the novel by W. R. Burnett, this is the story of an intricate planning of a heist and the characters involved in attempting to pull it off. One of the most influential films of the 1950's, the movie is notable for its stark black and white photography, superbly woven and developing story, and great performances all around. Introductory and closing comments are included.
