The Black Church Screening and Discussion

Join PBS KVIE for a free online preview screening of the new documentary, The Black Church. The screening will be followed by a live panel discussion with moderator Scott Syphax and panelists Reverend Rosalee “Rose” Charley, UC Davis Professor Milmon Harrison, and Reverend Kevin Kitrell Ross.

An intimate four-hour series from Henry Louis Gates, Jr., The Black Church: This Is Our Story, This Is Our Song will explore the 400-year-old story of the Black church in America, the changing nature of worship spaces, and the men and women who shepherded them from the pulpit, the choir loft, and church pews. The Black Church airs in two parts on PBS KVIE on February 16 & 17 at 9pm, and premieres on the PBS Video app at the same time.
