Tilth and Tide

Nationally known ceramicists, Marian Baker and Ruchika Madan, display their two distinctive approaches to functional pottery of form and surface with imagery exploring the wondrous biology and bounty of land and sea in their exhibit Tilth and Tide.

The intimacy of useful pottery and tile brings nature into the home in a daily and interactive way, in particular with decorative domestic objects such as cups, bowls, platters, and wall pieces. Mardie Dalzell Driftmier, a Sacramento artist, augments this exhibit with her new works on paper inspired by her weekly outdoor adventures along the American River.
