Verge Kids Camp (Age 6-7)

This is Verge’s sixth year offering camps for kids and they want you to join this summer for art-making, field-trips and fun at Verge!

The group will be working on individual and collaborative projects throughout the week and will present a final exhibition open to the public on the last day. We’ll be working with different artists and learning about various media and techniques.

Verge is limiting its camp maximum to ten children, and encouraging social distancing during camp.

About the Instructor:
Leah Florence grew up in Southern California where the green rolling hills, beaches and thriving art community first ignited her passion to create. She studied art in school but was mostly taught at home by her father who also is an artist. She went on to study art at Brigham Young University where she earned a degree in Visual Arts.

During her time at school she focused primarily on figurative work but explored other disciplines such as book binding and collage. She took a four year hiatus from art to bring two children into the world. Once the dust settled she became inspired to communicate her experiences as a mother on a visual playing field. She has been recognized and awarded for her unique style in embroidery in a variety of juried shows.
