Zen Martial Arts Center
Zen Martial Arts Center teaches kids and adults the valuable life-skills of the martial arts. The art taught is from Okinawa which is also home to the longest-lived people in the world. See why their diet, exercise, and lifestyle makes this possible?!
For years the staff at this martial arts school has been coaching people, of all ages, in the process of learning and practicing the martial arts as a tool for learning and practicing the art of being a more complete, proactive, and empowered human being. This school stands for something far beyond the kick, the punch, and the throw.
Zen Martial Arts Center considers themselves an integral part of the village that helps parents instill valuable character traits, beliefs, and habits in their children, such as: self-discipline, the ability to stay calm under pressure, the appreciation of teachers, parents, and other mentors, and the value of proper diet, exercise, and education in a happy and fulfilling life.
For thousands of adults and young-adults, Zen Martial Arts Center has been–and continues to be–a place to refuel, recharge, and remember the value of keeping one’s body fit, to keep the mind focused, and the spirit strong.
They teach a brand of self-defense that transcends physical "art" and includes the self-defense skills of kindness, empathy, community, and compassion.
Classes are held at the Coloma Community Center.
