Canine Companions for Independence - Gold Rush Champions Chapter

The Gold Rush Champions is a volunteer chapter of Canine Companions for Independence serving the greater Sacramento and Reno areas. Founded in 1975, Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships.

Headquartered in Santa Rosa, CA, CCI is the largest non-profit provider of assistance dogs, and is recognized worldwide for the excellence of its dogs, and the quality and longevity of the matches it makes between dogs and people. The result is a life full of increased independence and loving companionship.

  1. I am the Co-chairman for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8358 Service Dog Training Program.
    I am currently seeking a trainer for our service dog training program.
    Do you have a list of qualified trainers in the Sacramento area who may be available to train service dogs for combat veterans with PTSD and anxiety issues?
