Confucius Institute at UC Davis

The Confucius Institute at UC Davis is the world’s first Confucius Institute devoted to promoting the understanding of Chinese culture, especially Chinese food and beverage culture, to the UC Davis campus and the community.

The Institute operates in collaboration with UC Davis, Confucius Institute Headquarters, and Jiangnan University and partners with the UC Davis departments of Food Science and Technology, Viticulture and Enology, East Asian Languages and Cultures, the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science, and the college of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

The Confucius Institute offers workshops, lectures and events for the campus and the public, support for the scholarly efforts of our UC Davis partners and supports to local Chinese language schools.
