First Fridays is definitely about getting people together to mix & mingle, pass business cards, and share with one another your abilities, skills, and services each month. Some promoted First Fridays events are held at local nightclubs, others choose to promote it at convention centers, or on university campuses. There are private First Fridays, where you pay membership fees and there are First Fridays that are open to the public.
