Miss Sacramento County Scholarship Association

The Miss Sacramento County Scholarship Program is a Miss America preliminary competition founded in 1950 as a non-profit corporation by the Sacramento Junior Chamber of Commerce. The organization is 100 percent volunteer driven and was designed to nurture the advancement of young women through education, philanthropy, personal growth, health, self-expression and dedication.

The Miss America Organization remains the largest scholarship foundation in the world for young women. More than 49 million dollars is awarded annually to more than 70,000 young women each year.
