Old Ironsides

Old Ironsides is a family owned nightclub, bar, and restaurant. It all started back in 1934 with Papa Bill Bordisso obtaining the first liquor license in Sacramento after Prohibition. In the swinging sixties, Sam & Billee Jean Bordisso Kanelos came into the business and heralded in the glory years of “the cocktail hour,” five-martini lunches by area politicians, judges, and state workers as well as operating the Old Ironsides Bottle Shop (liquor store). In the 1990s the next generation stepped in and convinced Mama and Papa Kanelos to turn the joint into a nightclub.
