Sacramento Valley Section of The National Council of Negro Women (NCNW)
NCNW is a voluntary non-profit 501(c)3 membership organization founded in 1935 by Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune. Nationally, NCNW reaches nearly 4 million women through 39 national affiliate organizations and more than 240 sections; supporting economic development and entrepreneurship and providing mentoring and education support to young people. Locally, NCNW disseminates information about issues affecting African American, others and their families while promoting healthy lifestyle and behavior through wellness projects.
