Tom McElroy a.k.a. Atomic Elroy, b. Lowell, Mass. 1954, is a time-based media artist, specializing in video, installation, and performance. He uses a self-mocking approach to all artistic values and standards, producing universal statements of life and culture.

His work has appeared in numerous museums and galleries in the U.S. and abroad, including Creativetime, New York, NY; Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver, CO; Plus Gallery, Denver, CO; Optica Festival, Gijon, Spain; The Lab @ Belmar, Lakewood, CO; Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center; Sink Gallery, Denver, CO; Umbrella Art Group, Cardiff, Wales; Gallery of Contemporary Art (GOCA121) Univ. of CO. COS; Sangre De Cristo Art Center, Pueblo, CO; Art In Your Face, Malmoe, Sweden; and the Simultan Video Festival, Timisoara, Romania.

He has collaborated online with Talking Birds - Coventry, UK, The Praxis Group, Post Videoart.com, and VideoArt.net. He is as a winner of Günter Selichar’s “Who’s Afraid of Blue, Red, and Green?”, which ran in the Creative Times’ 59th Minute series on the NBC Astrovision Screen in Times Square NYC June-September 2004.
