Hello, my name is Derek Thomas, singer and manager of Music by Derek Thomas, a jazz quartet out of Sacramento, California. We have played shows all over the Greater Sacramento area under the name Thomas & Plecker, for which I am very thankful. Shows include: Concert In The Park series in Roseville, Marriott Hotel in SF, Naked Lounge on H, and the Penthouse of the Elks Lodge in Sacramento to name a few.

I play jazz & soul, but my band and I have adopted several contemporary songs into our set list. We were actually just rated Roseville, Rocklin, and Granite Bay's 2nd favorite band in STYLE magazine's annual readers award. Our style is influenced from Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, John Mayer, and many other greats, yet we have a sound entirely our own.
