This February, jog around William Land Park in your undies! The Sacramento Undy Run/Walk is a benefit for the Colon Cancer Alliance, an organization dedicated to increase the survival rate of those with colon cancer. Currently, colon cancer is one of the top three cancer killers in the United States; the Undy Run is just one way you can be a part of helping kick it to the curb.
Whether you’re looking to honor a loved one, help raise some funds, or just have a load of fun, the Undy Run is the perfect event for runners of all levels. Meandering through one of Sacramento’s favorite parks, the run/walk is only a 5K (3.1 miles), so don’t be daunted by the distance. This family-friendly event (I know it seems weird, but trust me, it is) is a great place to get silly, get some exercise, and help eradicate a terrible disease.
The best part about this run is just how ridiculous it is. On a normal day you wouldn’t even think about stepping outside in underwear, but on this special day, you get to join hundreds of other weirdos in a pantaloons parade. Of course, if you aren’t comfortable strutting your stuff in briefs, you can just wear your undies outside your pants!
