We may not be able to celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans, but that doesn’t mean we should have to miss out on the colorful fun! Put on some beads, indulge with cocktails and King Cake, and let the jazz music flow because there’s plenty of Fat Tuesday madness to be had in Sacramento and we’ve rounded-up a few of our favorite events!



Jazz Night Mardi Gras Masquerade

Mardi Gras Festival Crawl

Old Sacramento

The annual Mardi Gras crawl is back and better than ever! Bands and performers travel the boardwalks spreading Fat Tuesday cheer while participating bars will offer specials all night long.

Participating bars include:
– River City Saloon
– The Other Office
– Fanny Ann’s Saloon
– Sports Corner Cafe
– O’Mallys Irish Pub
– Graciano’s Chicago Deep Dish Pizza and Speakeasy – Cocktail Lounge


Mardi Ball: Beads, Booze, and Babes

Hosted by Mahlae Balenciaga, this Mardi Gras party shows off the glitz and glamour of Jasmine Masters, Mariah Paris Balenciaga, and Pandora Boxx from RuPaul’s Drag Race.


4th Annual Mardi Gras Second Line Parade

Put on your Mardi Gras best and celebrate Fat Tuesday at Torch Club’s 4th Annual event. Once again, the Element Brass Band will lead the party as it makes its way through the streets of Midtown. Masks, beads, feathers, parasols, and bright colors are very much encouraged.

– The Porch Restaurant and Bar
– Easy on I
– Torch Club

Note: The second line parade is an all ages event. However, the closing event at the Torch Club is Ages 21+ only.


Mardi Paws Parade

Old Sacramento
March 4 | Sat 11am
Calling all furry friends and animal lovers to get into the Mardi Gras spirit with some family-pet-friendly fun! The festivities include a small parade featuring dogs in costumes, on floats, and rocking traditional Mardi Gras gear, food and drink vendors, and a doggy play area.
