St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, (Friday, March 17 to be exact!) and luckily, there is no need to travel all the way to the Emerald Isle to get in the spirit. Sacramento is lucky enough to have a number of green-themed events that will bring out the Irish in all of us!

Hundreds of colorful marchers dressed in green, along with Irish and Highland dancers, pipe and drum bands, historic re-enactors and a variety of cultural organizations all join together to be a part of the 21st Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. Irish dancers in elaborate Celtic costumes, bagpipers, bands, military regiments, police and fire representatives, costumed marchers and a variety of cultural organizations bring the luck of the Irish to the event.

Enjoy a one-hour cruise of the Sacramento River with a face painter and balloon artist for the kids!
