Old Sacramento Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
Old Sacramento
November 22 | Wed 4:30-7:30pm
Kick-off the holiday season on Thanksgiving Eve with this beloved Old Sacramento tradition! Standing center stage at Front Street and K Street, the 60-foot tall Old Sacramento District Holiday Tree will be lit for the first time this winter. After enjoying festive entertainment and the lighting of the Holiday Tree, stick around for the opening performance of Macy’s Theatre of Lights!

Get in a pre-feast workout Thanksgiving morning walk/run during Sacramento’s most popular Thanksgiving event! This event is put on by Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services and all profits generated will directly benefit the organization. The race starts on J Street just west of the entrance to the Sacramento State campus and runs through the beautiful tree-lined streets of East Sacramento.

Celebrate and spend the day with your family and friends without the stress of cooking and cleaning. Fairytale Town Free Admission Day and Canned Food Drive

Families can enjoy free admission at Fairytale Town for bringing a canned food item for donation to the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services Holiday Spirit of Giving Food Drive. The day also includes free arts and crafts activities and a puppet show.

Sacramento’s urban core offers a festive and fun holiday destination to make the shopping experience both magical and memorable! Get out and shop local and make sure to pick up your free #ShopSmall tote bag at the welcome station located at the Midtown Farmers Market, and continue through the community! Attendees can also ride the free “Shopping Shuttle” from Sacramento Regional Transit.

Crocker Holiday Artisan Market
Scottish Rite Center
November 24-26 | Fri 12pm-5pm, Sat 10am-5pm, and Sun 10am-4pm
The Crocker Art Museum and the Creative Arts League of Sacramento a unique, one-of-a-kind shopping experience at this annual three-day event. Fine and functional work will include glass, textiles, wood, ceramics, paper, photography, painting, sculpture, fiber and textiles, jewelry, gourmet chocolates and more! Over 109 artists and their original works have been carefully juried into this special event to provide you with an exciting, varied and quality shopping experience that is unique in the region. Enjoy delightful food served by Ambrosia Café. Moonrise Pixies and Elves will be face painting and balloon tying for the kiddos, and music by local musicians will be performed.
