Making Pinterest Projects Come to Life

I’m going to kick off my morning at Relles Florist for a DIY Wreath Decorating Class. During this 90-minute class, attendees will learn easy methods to decorate and to make a bow for their wreath. Note: decorations and tools will be included.

Shop Local

After my lesson in DIY decor, I will head over to Identity Coffees for a cup of joe and to do some holiday shopping with a selection of handmade items and local good at the December Midtown Bizarre. This month features items by Best Supply Co., Burly Beverages, Gold Feather, It’s Knot Love, Little Lemon Book, Mackiwear, Tufarock, and Tinsel and Oak.

Small Masterpieces

My next stops will be to two of the six galleries participating in the Big Show of Small Treasures art event. The Sacramento Visual Arts Collaborative (SacVAC) presents its second annual event showcasing intimately scaled works of art (12-by-12 inches or smaller).

Participating galleries include:

A Midtown Affair

My final stop of the day will be to the 19th Street Holiday Market in the Handle District. Boutiques in the district that are participating are 42nd Street Design, Boar Haus, Doris Jean Designs, Heart Clothing Boutique, The Prickly Pear, Thistle + Bud, Felicia Strati, and Ladybuggz. Enjoy great local artisans on the sidewalk, music from local guitarist Adriene Ballou, the sound of Dickens Carolers, carriage rides, food from Broderick and beer and wine from Fieldwork and Bogle.

This is a great family-friendly event and word on the street is that Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be strolling the district!
