What makes a happy mom on Mother’s Day? Happy kids!

There’s loads of strawberry eats and strawberry treats, arts and crafts shopping, cooking demonstrations, live music, and more. BerryFest is loaded with fun for the kids with a petting zoo, pony rides, princess pageant, strawberry shortcake eating contest, a daily parade, nonstop shows, and a full carnival.

Get out and enjoy the weather with mom and help celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the East Sac Garden Tour on Mother’s Day weekend. Seven fabulous gardens will be open to public viewing, including the star of the tour this year, “The Blue House” garden from the Oscar-nominated movie Lady Bird. During your walking tour, you can buy locally-made crafts at the Artisan Boutique, visit the ChalkTop featuring David Lubin Elementary student’s chalk art, enjoy a Tea Garden lunch at Sutter Lawn, visit the Sweet Stop for refreshments, and see cars on display from the California Auto Museum.

Make it a mother-daughter date with this new event series presented by River City Marketplace. Soiree is a collection of inspiring workshops hosted by local makers and artists. This kickoff event gives attendees the opportunity to participate in three workshops of their choice, all while enjoying delicious refreshments and adult beverages in a gorgeous setting.
