Read on and learn how the life-long Sacramentan has come to love his hometown in his own words.

Anyone who knows me can verify that working with Sacramento365 was inevitable. Whether it’s something on Midtown and Downtown’s ever-expanding list of events, a local show by one of my favorite artists (did you see the lineup at Sol Blume this year?!) or a new craft brewery to check out, I’m there, excitedly dragging along one friend or another, compelled by a feverish curiosity to see it all.

It might be the journalist in me (Stingers up!) who keeps reading articles on the continued growth in the Farm-to-Fork Capital, or maybe it’s my love of photography that’s lead me to “like” one too many of the pretty pictures on Visit Sacramento‘s Instagram page, but even as a life-long Sacramentan, this ever-changing city is still one of my favorite places to explore.

Oddly enough, I grew up with the impression that Sacramento wasn’t the most “happening” place. There had always been a sense of wanderlust to me, and while that curiosity hasn’t left to this day — see: my never-ending onslaught of daytrips around Northern California on the weekends — I came out the other side a lot more appreciative of where I am. It really wasn’t until I had the chance to work alongside organizations on both sides of the marketing and journalism fence — ranging from Visit California to Capital Public Radio — that I truly understood everything this city has to offer.

This is ultimately my long-winded way of expressing my excitement at finally having joined the purveyors of the pretty pictures I’ve liked for so many years and my chance to say that I look forward to spreading my love of Sacramento every opportunity they give me!
