Sacramento Rocktoberfest 2018
Two Rivers Cider Company
October 20 | Saturday 2pm-9pm
The main draw of this family-friendly benefit concert is the nine local rock and pop bands that will be spread across two stages, but there will also be plenty of spooky fun for the kids including trick-or-treat opportunities and a haunted house. Cider, costumes, and food will be abound during this fundraiser for The Silver Orange, a nonprofit providing a space for teens to develop as artists and individuals.

Midtown Halloween Festival and Pooch Parade
Marshall Park
October 27 | Saturday 1pm-3pm
A strong contender for the most adorable thing you’ll see this Halloween, the Pooch Parade in Midtown includes nearly 100 four-legged friends in their most creative costumes, all in one place! If that’s not enough, there will be family-friendly activates like face painting, a bounce house, hands-on arts and crafts, and entertaining live music for the kids.

Participating Midtown business on J and K Streets will also be handing out candy and hosting fun, family activities during this time.

Trunk-or-Treat
California Automobile Museum
October 28 | Sunday 10am-3pm
There are many “trunk-or-treat” events throughout the region, but this is the only one that uses a collection of California’s finest classic cars to hold their candy. Bring your kids in costume to this midday adventure that allows them to decorate their own bag before setting off around the Automobile Museum for candy and spooky stories.

Your costumed munchkins can trick-or-treat amongst the animals at the Sacramento Zoo while getting their face painted, participating in games, watching stage shows and magic shows, and taking a ride on the spooky zoo train.

Grab your costumes and blankets to create your own family-fun fall classic as you watch Coco on the Raley Field videoboard from the outfield. Costumed kiddos can also trick-or-treat and participate in spooky activities and contests.

A traditional celebration of Dia de Los Muertos, this two-day event is an urban recreation of a Mexican village featuring over 50 memorials, live music and dance, and a traditional marketplace with food. The highlight of the 48 hours will be the procession featuring traditional elements only experienced in small towns in Mexico, the lively sounds of a 12-piece banda, giant street puppets, and more!

Ghosts and Ghouls Beer and Wine Bash
Sacramento RiverTrain
October 26 | Friday 7pm
Celebrate Halloween with a unique train ride featuring pours from several local craft breweries and 10 wines from throughout Northern California. Live music and a stop along the river where guests can enjoy firepits and a costume contest round out a Halloween celebration every adult will love.

Gibson Ranch Pumpkin Festival

Nothing says “fall” quite like a pumpkin patch, and Gibson Ranch has over two acres of pumpkins! Other features that scream “fall” include a hay wagon, straw bale maze and pyramid, farm animals, pumpkin-patch kiddie train and a ton of fun entertainment like bounce houses and giant slides.

If you like your Halloween to be genuinely terrifying, Heartstoppers Haunted House promises to deliver with their four-part attraction filled with live actors, jump scares, and an overarching Old West theme.

Bring the whole family for a relaxing, Halloween-themed day along the Sacramento River. Dress up the kids for an hour of Halloween music, face painting, and spooky coloring sheets.
