It’s going to be a hot one this 2nd Saturday! Thankfully, there’s a little something for everyone to help you beat that Sacramento heat.

Shop ‘Til You Drop

Everyday items transform into something unique at the UpcyclePop: Remade Eco-Art Market. Vendors line the Old Sacramento Waterfront as they take something old and make it better than new. Not only will your new find look good in your home, but it’s good for the environment too!

Balancing Act

Try somewhere new this 2nd Saturday when you visit the Art Studios on I Street who will be hosting the installation In Balance. Abstract acrylic paintings and found art will feature at this small studio, which will also host a pop-up store during the show.

You can split the rest of your time in the area by grabbing brunch next door at Easy on I. The bar and grill serves American eats ranging from an exquisite French toast to chicken in a biscuit!

Dream Catcher

Capturing dreams, culture, stories, and community in their art is Kalli Arte Collective’s specialty. The Los Angeles group brings their work to Sol Collective in an installation called Tletica / Con Fuego / With Fire.

Makers Making Music

Music Makers Mini Festival and Art Show is an art show and a concert to benefit Sacramento’s own community-based, music education organization – the Library of Musiclandria. Seven local musical acts will perform throughout the night alongside the work of eight local artists.

Beat the Heat

The Sacramento Shakespeare Festival won’t be outdoors this year, but the magic of the theatre persists — and, if you’re looking at the bright-side of things, you won’t have to sit in the summer heat when you arrive early! See Shakespeare in Love, a story in which the legendary playwright himself becomes a star-crossed lover, not unlike the characters of his piece Romeo and Juliet.
