To the Greater Sacramento Arts Community:

THIS ONE IS FOR YOU! Sacramento’s story is rich with history, innovation, and creativity, and our arts and creative community is at the heart of it all.

You asked for an industry directory and Sacramento365 is excited to share our new Creative Art Resource, a joint project of Visit Sacramento and the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission, that is designed to help users find regional creatives, highlight grant and artist opportunities, and search for arts venues available for rent.

This new resource came to be after conversations during one-on-one and Creative Economy meetings, collecting online feedback, looking into what other cities were doing, and aligning our efforts with initiatives outlined in the City of Sacramento’s Creative Edge plan.

WHAT’S NEW

Homepage

-There are four components to this new site – Creative Directory (which previously existed), Grants Opportunities, Artist Opportunities, and the Creative Venue Finder.

– A rotating Featured Artist slidegraph banner on the homepage (below the top rotating slidegraph and category descriptions). This banner is random and switches up anytime you refresh the page.

Creative Directory

Find talented local artists and creatives to hire or collaborate with through search.

-We have expanded the Artist Type list for the Search Filters. Please note: You will not see the full comprehensive list as it only displays the categories that have been checked by at least one artist profile.

-On your profile page, you can include social media links, websites, blogs, contact information, upload documents, embed video, add photos, etc. There is also a section of Upcoming or Past Events. This shows anytime you’ve been included in an event listing on Sacramento365’s event calendar.

Grant Opportunities

Discover or post opportunities that encourage growth, equity, and broaden the arts offerings throughout the Sacramento region.

Artist Opportunities

Calling all artists! Find or post a gig, job or professional development opportunity for the creative community.

Creative Venue Finder

Use the Creative Venue Finder to find the right venue to hold your next performance, exhibit, reading, workshop, rehearsal, or other creative activity.

New Guidelines

-For the Creative Directory, Artist Opportunities, and Grant Opportunities sections – we will be expanding our normal geographic coverage area to include the following counties: Sacramento, Yolo, El Dorado, Placer, Sutter, Yuba, and Nevada, San Joaquin, and Amador Counties. The Creative Venue Finder section will align with our event’s regional guidelines, which is Sacramento County, West Sacramento, Roseville, and Davis.

For over 11 years, Sacramento365, a brand of Visit Sacramento, has served as the region’s largest online arts and entertainment resource. Celebrating and supporting the local arts community has always been an integral part of who we are and what we do.

For us, the goal of this project is to help further promote collaboration, innovation, and creation both within the arts community and the community at large. We hope this resource serves as a place for creatives to find each other and for individuals and businesses to use to find creatives to hire.

Thank you for your continued support of Sacramento365. We are thrilled to help further showcase the tremendous talent our region has to offer!

Cheers,
Karlee Cemo-McIntosh, Jamila Khan Roughani, and Emiliano Martin
