At the Sacramento Theatre Company, this classic tale of the greedy Ebenezer Scrooge will take the stage and put the whole family into the Christmas spirit all month long.

Sacramento Ballet presents The Nutcracker
Memorial Auditorium
December 12-15 | Sat & Sun 2pm; Thurs, Fri, Sat 7:30pm

Christmas classics continue as The Nutcracker takes the stage. The Sacramento Ballet will entertain the whole family as you follow Clara through her journey encountering the Mouse King, Sugar Plum Fairies, and more holiday magic.

Theatre of Lights
Old Sacramento Waterfront
December 12-24 | Thurs-Sun 6pm & 7:30pm | December 23 6pm & 7:30pm | Christmas Eve 6pm

For a unique experience and twist on a classic Christmas story, the Theatre of Lights transforms the Old Sacramento Waterfront’s K Street into a light and sound extravaganza. Not only will guests be surrounded by “Twas the Night Before Christmas” dramatized on each buildings’ balcony, this fun night will also feature the harrowing story of the historic district in the 1850s.

Expect everything from firetrucks and vintage rides to goats and chickens to be adorned with lights during this parade. You’ll also catch Santa and the Rio Linda High School Marching Band joining in on the fun, too!

Winter Wonderland
Fairytale Town
December 14-15 & 21-22 | Sat & Sun 1pm-7pm

Kids can revel in the snow of Sacramento at Fairytale Town’s Winter Wonderland! The park will be filled with festive decor and dazzling lights, a giant snow globe, and elf-themed activities. (Weather permitting.)

Chanukah Wonderland
Folsom Community Center
December 15 | Sun 2pm-5pm

The largest Chanukah event in the Sacramento region is this wonderland in Folsom featuring a build-a-menorah workshop, carnival games, a food court, and more holiday fun!

Sacramento Santa Run
California State Capitol West Steps
December 21 | Sat 9am

Sacramento dresses up as Santa during this 5k Run/Walk (and Merry Mile) that ends with cookies, milk, music, and snow in DOCO. Yum!

Christmas Brunch

December 25 | Wed 10am-3pm
