Karlee’s Proudest Moments:

To say that I take great pride in where I work and the brand I oversee would be a significant understatement. Talking about Sacramento brings me true joy. I feel privileged to work with such a talented team, have the opportunity to build meaningful and lasting relationships with our partners, all while promoting one of my greatest passions — the place I’m so proud to call my home.

2016 marked a new era for Sacramento with new art to be seen and new places to eat, drink, and explore. Now more than ever, Sacramento is becoming a true destination city. It continues to receive national and international attention as America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital, and with the much-anticipated opening of the Golden 1 Center back in October, which has already received high praise from the tech world, the sports world, and some legendary entertainers that have already stopped by (Kanye West not included).

Mid-year, Sacramento365 entered its own new “era” as our website migrated to a responsive WordPress platform and we unveiled a refreshed logo and Make it a Night design. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a stressful few months, but it was well worth it to be able to provide our users with a more intuitive and user-friendly platform. In addition to our new look, we continue to significantly grow our social media followers and the overall engagement by establishing new partnerships, as well as building upon our relationships with existing partners. Our team is pushing out higher-quality and more engaging content, which includes a very successful revamp in our Featured Artist Series and in-person interviews with various movers and shakers such as key players with First Fridays and the Farm-to-Fork movement.

And if you’re looking for the “Best Local Website” then look no further…the people spoke in 2016 and Sacramento365 proudly received the recognition for this year’s Best of Sacramento by Sacramento Magazine.

Our site continues to grow and contribute to the quality of life for residents and serves as an invaluable resource for visitors by providing comprehensive, up-to-date, and quality information about what to see and do for unique cultural experiences and family fun. Now more than ever, our team has a reinvigorated commitment to be the largest all-inclusive resource to find local events, but to also serve as a media hub that educates, informs, and shares the stories of individuals and organizations that are evolving the local arts landscape and acting as a critical catalyst for economic growth, innovation, and collaboration in our community.

I could not ask for two better people to work alongside with and our team is looking forward to continuing to evolve the Sacramento365 user-experience in 2017.

Jamila Social Insights:

2016 has brought a whirlwind of positive change to the Sacramento region…and we three musketeers at Sacramento365 have experienced our fair share of it. From sharing the personal stories of influential local artists with our revamped Featured Artist series to moving our online calendar onto the WordPress platform, the Sacramento365 brand continues to evolve – and for the better.

I’m especially proud of the exponential growth on our social media platforms. Each of our three major platforms — Facebook, Twitter, Instagram – share local event content to over 30K residents and visitors. On Instagram, we gave fans and followers behind-the-scenes access to new restaurants, a Sacramento Kings game, Sacramento Fashion Week, and Concerts in the Park, as well as keeping them in-the-know on all of the fun things to do in the region. And without a doubt, my favorite social moment was working with the community to give a warm Sacramento welcome to die-hard Australian Kings fans and honeymooners, Dino and Asimina Maoutsidis

With the growing number of partnerships in store for 2017, I can’t wait to share what fun lies ahead for the 916.

Dylan’s Golden Outlook:

2016 was a wild year for Sacramento365 and the region in general. Sacramento had a booming year that looks to set the stage for a great 2017. For us, we went through a complete makeover — changed our name (dropped the .com), updated our logo, and overhauled our entire site! While these improvements gave our site a much-needed image boost, they caused a fair bit of stress for our team. With a lot our hard work and dedication, our tiny team of three successfully powered through the site migration. I’m incredibly proud of what Sacramento365 has become and can’t wait to see where we go in 2017.

While we’re set to explode in 2017, the Sacramento region has already taken off in 2016. My top Sacramento moment from the past year was the long awaited opening of the new crown of downtown, the Golden 1 Center. This new cultural mecca has been providing loads of great entertainment in the form of Kings games, concerts with top stars, and captivating family events. I can’t wait to see how the new arena affects the downtown region; and what the new Sacramento will become.

P.S. My top moment of the year was going to the final Kings game at Sleep Train Arena with my dad. My dad and I have been going to games there for 15 years and to see the Kings close the book on the arena with a win was definitely something special. It’s bittersweet seeing Acro Arena/Power Balance Pavilion/Sleep Train Arena shut down, but I think we’re in a good place with what Golden 1 Center brings to the table.

We at Sacramento365 would like to wish you and your family a very happy new year! Cheers to 2017 – to prosperity, good health, and always finding time to explore and have some fun.

Thank you for your continued support of Sacramento365! Our team believes, the best has yet to come.
