Gail Dartez

Gail Dartez has more than 30 years experience as a professional actor, director, and theatre arts educator.
She has been a teaching artist for the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission since 2006, conducting numerous K – 8 residencies in area schools.

Currently Gail is an Adjunct Professor of Theatre in the Los Rios Community College District, teaching a variety of theatre courses and directing numerous productions over the past several years.

Gail is also a teaching artist for Capital Stage and directed The Arsonists for the company in Spring of 2018. She has served as an instructor and director for California Musical Theatre workshops, camps, and Music Circus Junior Company. Gail has also taught master classes and directed productions for the Young Professional Conservatory at Sacramento Theatre Company.

Gail holds an MFA in Acting from the Yale School of Drama and was awarded Arts Educator of the Year by the Sacramento Arts and Business Council in 2008.
