4th Annual Sacramento Black Book Fair

Presented by Blue Nile Press and The Black Group [tbg] at Women's Civic Improvement Center

The 2017 Book Fair will include book signings, talks by each featured writer, cultural vendors, food trucks, a writer’s workshop session, a Kids Zone, a community parade, poetry readings, writer’s circles, and art displays. SBBF will feature more than fifty authors of African descent, showcasing and highlighting a diverse spectrum of authors and literature, from contemporary and historical fiction to anthologies, poetry, academic books; children’s stories and books, non-fiction to biographies, self-help, and inspirational, and religious.

This year's Sacramento Black Book Fair is dedicated to Carol Borden, a founder of the Book Fair, originator of "Books On Parade," and an indispensable Sacramento leader.

Event Highlights:
Friday, June 2:
-7pm: Opening Panel Discussion at The Guild Theatre
-9pm: Discussion Mixer at Brickhouse Art Gallery

Saturday, June 3:

-10am: Books on Parade (Starts at Women’s Civic Improvement Center)
-10:30am~5:30pm: Sacramento Black Book Fair Headquarters at Women’s Civic Improvement Center
-11am-5:30pm: Children's Fun and Literacy Area at Brickhouse Art Gallery
