Wide Open Walls will transform our capital city into a giant, free public art gallery and be a celebration of artistic expression, diversity, and community. The largest event of its kind on the west coast, it will bring together over 40 artists — including local artists and artists from all over the world – to create large-scale, outdoor murals on 36 walls throughout the Sacramento region.
The event will include a Wide Open Walls gallery show at Beatnik Studios during the month of August, First Friday and Second Saturday celebrations, The Wall Ball — an art themed party for arts education, a Power Inn Alliance family picnic, and several pop-up events throughout the festival that will be listed on the official Wide Open Walls website.
