Celebrate cuisine and culture! This family-friendly community event features traditional and modern Jewish foods (including vegetarian choices), live entertainment, a children’s play area, unique arts and crafts, and a chance to come together for a unique cultural experience. Feast on delicacies such as corned beef, pastrami, and brisket sandwiches, blintzes, matzo ball and mushroom barley soup, falafel, cabbage rolls, chopped liver, hummus, Israeli vegetables and bagels and lox.
The Food Faire Bakery offers homemade and imported pastries like rugellah, honey cakes, and strudel. Bread lovers will find challah, Jewish rye, New York style bagels, pumpernickel and raisin breads, and more. Explore the art and crafts vendor stalls surrounding the Faire for art, jewelry, home items, clothing, Judaica, pottery, special gifts and unique items at reasonable prices. Participate in music, dancing and special activities throughout the day.
The team from the “soon to open” and long-awaited, Solomon’s Delicatessen, near the Golden 1 Center will be at the Faire taking job applications and soliciting ideas, recipes and stories about what makes a great community Jewish delicatessen.
