ARTHOUSE on R presents “Cross Pollination,” a group exhibit featuring the Sierra Wax Artists, a Northern California encaustic art group.
This show will provide a glimmer of encaustic's wide range of aesthetics and media combinations created by members of Sierra Wax Artists.
From the first century Roman era when beeswax was used to seal and decorate war ships, to contemporary art, the application of the encaustic medium has traveled centuries to become the luminous addiction of many artists today.
