Stage Right Productions in Fair Oaks, opens it’s 2018 summer theatre season with Robert Harling’s comedy-drama, Steel Magnolias!

Steel Magnolias focuses on the camaraderie of six Southern women who talk, gossip, needle and harangue each other through the best of times and comfort and repair one another through the worst. The play is alternately hilarious and touching with six female characters that are delicate as magnolias yet as strong as steel. Steel Magnolias premiered off-Broadway at the WPA Theater in 1987, then quickly transferred to the Lucille Lortel Theater and became an instant sensation, running for three years and spawning a hit movie.

Stage Right Productions, is celebrating its 10th season providing quality, family friendly theatre in the Fair Oaks area. Established originally as a theatre focusing on young performers, this year marks their first foray into community theatre production. Jenny Krack, Artistic Director of Stage Right Productions has produced over 70 shows and in addition to studying directing and theatre arts at local venues such as B Street, Sacramento Studio Theatre and Berkeley Repertory Theatre, she was also invited to attend Yale University’s Summer Directing Intensive in 2017 and Director’s West Lab Intensive in Pasadena this year.
