To kick-off the semester, Zahra Ammar will be the first artist featured in the University Union’s Gallery. Ammar is a Pakistani artist living in Sacramento. Her inspiration for "Spring Delusions" came from reading T.S Eliot’s The Wasteland. The art featured in the exhibit continues the dialogue from the line “April is the cruelest month.”
Although Ammar does not have answers for each piece, she believes her work looks into the shadows and colors of despair and blooming hope. She describes paper as having “a language of its own” through its color blends and ability to be torn apart and put together again.
