California's Day of Preparedness: Surviving The Wide West

​September is National Preparedness Month and Cal OES will be hosting the 13th annual California's Day of Preparedness​ event in h​istoric Old Sacramento. California is prone to many disasters and all Californians should have a disaster plan and be ready to -- survive the Wild West. Visitors will learn about emergency preparedness as well as experience a variety of disaster readiness demonstrations, watch water rescues, and see the skills of search and rescue dogs in action.

There will be music and food as well!
